My primary research goals are directed toward wild populations management and conservation, by assessing the impacts of human activities and subsequent habitat modifications on life history and behavioural adaptations of freshwater fish. It requires the use of multidisciplinary approaches as populations ecology (e.g., fish density or abundance, growth curves), habitat use (e.g., habitat heterogeneity, preference curves, spatial/temporal distribution) and behavioural monitoring (e.g., sighting and telemetric survey).

I am particularly interested in empirical monitoring of freshwater fish behaviour and impacts assessment, i.e. describing ecological and behavioural patterns of fish facing to human activities, such as habitat degradation and fragmentation, hydroelectricity production and damming.
